The results of the Shrimp Farming Census of Ceará, Piauí, and Rio Grande do Norte, produced by ABCC (Brazilian Shrimp Farmers Association), in partnership with several entities and agencies in the field, are now available.
The overall objective of the study was to “reveal the size and current status of the various segments of this important shrimp farming production chain” in the three major producing states mentioned in the title of this post in 2020 and 2021.
According to the document, the Census concentrated its field activities in the state of Ceará, throughout Rio Grande do Norte, and Piauí, with production concentrated in the municipalities of Cajueiro da Praia and Luís Correia.
